Service · Occupied workplaces
Workplace performance, cooling & energy.
For organisations in Abuja, Lagos and across Nigeria whose offices are uncomfortable, costly to cool or due a phased renovation. We assess how the workplace is cooled, used and run, then scope the improvements that matter first.
Who it is for
When the workplace is working against the people in it.
Hot and cold complaints
Some desks are too warm, meeting rooms too cold, and nobody can say why the same system produces both.
Costly or unreliable cooling
Cooling runs long hours, bills or generator use feel high, and outages or repeat maintenance calls disrupt work.
Phased, occupied renovation
Teams must keep working while layouts change, so improvements need sequencing around people, not an empty floor.
This builds on our workplace audit, design coordination, fit-out and post-occupancy work: Outtabox coordinates the assessment, design and retrofit, with engineering and HVAC work carried out by qualified appointed specialists under the agreed scope.

Method
Assess. Improve. Verify.
Three stages, each with a defined output, so decisions are made on evidence rather than assumption.
- 01
Assess
A scoped review of the occupied workplace and its records.
- Comfort and cooling condition as experienced on the floor
- Cooling zones compared with current occupancy and layout
- Bills, run-hours, outages and maintenance baseline
- Agreed non-intrusive measurements
- 02
Improve
A prioritised improvement scope, then separately quoted coordinated design or retrofit.
- Layout and energy-efficiency opportunities
- Prioritised findings and next-step scope
- Coordinated design and retrofit with qualified MEP specialists
- Phasing around people who keep working
- 03
Verify
Checks that what was agreed is what was handed over.
- Commissioning and handover records from responsible specialists
- Post-occupancy review against the agreed scope
- Defects and improvement record

Delivery
Clear scope. Accountable delivery.
Coordinated, specialist-led engineering
Outtabox coordinates the workplace assessment, design and retrofit. Engineering measurements, design and HVAC interventions are carried out by qualified appointed MEP and commissioning specialists under the agreed scope.
Evidence before performance commitments
Any savings or performance improvement depends on the measured baseline and the agreed scope, so we establish the evidence first rather than quote fixed savings, payback periods or uptime.
Separately scoped next steps
Full design, detailed engineering and bills of quantities, retrofit delivery and any monitoring are scoped and quoted separately, on our existing design and delivery terms.
Workplaces and critical IT environments
Outtabox leads the occupied workplace. Critical IT rooms and data-centre power and cooling integration are delivered by Africore under its own scope, so a combined project has a clearly allocated specialist for each part.
