The case study
- The brief
- D’Ethniks asked for a hospitality interior with a café and restaurant character, where an African material and graphic identity shapes the guest experience from arrival to the table.
- The insight
- In hospitality the first impression is the arrival, and the way inside and outside connect shapes how long guests stay. Identity has to be felt in material, light and pattern before it is read on a sign.
- Our response
- The study places a welcoming reception at arrival and uses warm pendant lighting to set the mood. Shared tables and smaller settings give choice between group dining and quieter meals. Planting and branded material features carry the identity, and a patio and bar extend the experience outside, with circulation that lets guests move easily between the two.
